Method and pass criteria
Batch 24-08
Thermal shock
20 cycles, 180°C to cold water. Pass: no crazing, no rim loss.

Lead and cadmium
Migration tested to EN 1388 limits by the manufacturer's lab; one unit per batch re-tested here.

Rim finish
Every rim run under a fingernail for burrs and glaze pinholes.

Set weight
Weighed against spec. More than 5% under and the batch is rejected as thin-cast.

Glaze coverage
Checked under raking light for thin patches at the leaf veins and the foot ring.

Packing drop
Boxed set dropped from 80cm on each face. Pass: no breakage, no transferred marks.

Who does the testing
Migration and thermal tests are run by the manufacturer's own lab to EN 1388. We repeat thermal shock and rim checks ourselves, in Shah Alam [CHECK].
What a fail looks like
Crazing after thermal cycling, a rim you can feel with a fingernail, or a set more than 5% under spec weight. The batch doesn't get listed.
